Craigslist SCORE!

Everyone who has looked at this blog
(all 3 of you...hi Bunny)
KNOW
that the countertop thing has been a
thorn in my side.

Well, I decided I'd look on Craigslist today, not really expecting anything
..and what did I find?
THIS!

I emailed the lady, she says someone is coming out Sat to look at it.
nOOooooOOOooo..
I say, "look, I NEED this. I'll give you double".

She says "SOLD".
lol

Unfortunately, it isn't enough to do the counter AND the table.
But whatever, it was so perfect I had to get it.
I can do the countertop Dave says.
The table usually has a tablecloth anyway, and maybe I can find a matching solid pink for the table.
This pattern is from the late 1950's and you can't even find a picture of it!

I feel pretty lucky, even though I didn't get enough of it for the whole trailer.

~

In OTHER kitchen news, I also found a local source for the quilted stainless steel backsplash, and that will be ready to pick up
tomorrow!
We might actually be close to lookin' GOOD for our little Trailer Show in Oxnard!

1st Real Outing..

This is the first time I hitched up and went somewhere all by myself!
yes...I was scared..lol

We had SUCH fun at the Ivy Street Vintage Flea Market, put on by "Cottage Charm" in Murrieta...even though it
MUST have been the hottest
and most humid day in Temecula E.V.E.R

Ellie Mae was a big hit too.
The gals at Cottage Charm said people drove in the day before
~ all day ~
to see if there was a "for sale" sign on her.

Okay, I will admit it, I got there a day early just to make sure I could get her parked in the spot without a problem! LOL

I even had one of my customer's who drives a horse trailer all the time..on call, as the 'back-up plan'...lol...(pun intended)

Thanks Teresa, I didn't need you, THIS time, but I still have you
on speed-dial!

Despite the crazy heat, Bunny and I both sold a TON of stuff and met some great people.
We will do it again for sure!

a new adventure...

While out in Temecula for work yesterday,
I stumbled upon this darling shop.
(because I CANNOT pass up a vintage store, as we know)

People, there are lots of stores
around that sell vintage, but these gals do it right!
The goods are displayed beautifully,
and the prices are very fair!

After having a look around
and buying a couple items I was positive I needed..
they mentioned they have a Flea Market
coming up. I told them about Ellie Mae and they loved the idea of having us.
So, looks like Bunny and I will be vendors on June 1st
at the Ivy Street Flea Market in Murietta.

Now, I guess I better figure out HOW to back my trailer in!

Every trailer has to have flamingos, right?
I stumbled upon these two at the
99 Cent's Store..
and they are smaller sized so they are
perfect for the trailer.

You can't beat $2!

measure twice..

So I saw a smokin' deal online for a foam mattress..cheap. Score!
I wasn't fond of the air mattress idea anyway.
Foam just sounds comfy, right?
It arrived all tightly rolled into a nice small size that was easy to get into the trailer.
All I had to do was unwrap it, and give it a day or two to fluff itself out.

This ^ is what happens when you assume you have room for a queen sized mattress...lol.
It grew..a LOT!
No matter, we can cut it..I read that an electric turkey knife can do the job. Off to Bed, Bath and Beyond.
I never have the coupon when I need it.
grrrr.

..it's official..

I have

The weather has been so great...
I want NEED to go somewhere!

Our company meeting was postponed
(boo-hoo. I was supposed to be in Aruba right now)

so I feel like I need to get out of town.

Dave and Bobbi just got a new trailer and Dave has the itch to go somewhere as well.
We might just load up and make a beach run soon.
I tried to talk them into
..but they hate the heat.
I hate cold..so we have a problem. LOL.

Ellie Mae is almost done, I got a line on a local company that sells the quilted stainless for the backsplash..

Kinda like that ^

Got my sample of laminate from Arborite this morning too. I don't love it, but it will probably do just fine.
You can't always get what you want.

I did find this at the flea market..
I love it!
It was missing a red ball, but I had one..so now I have the whole set up.
Croquet is fun, I hope I can find folks that will play! LOL.

I found these on Etsy and the seller is local.

I will keep the bottom 3
and sell the others. Too Cute!

Everybody is good at something..
I'm good at spending money.
LOL.
