Old Navy Party continued..

Time to haul Ellie Mae down to her gig, the Old Navy Party in Coachella.
Dave & Michael, Tim and Bobbi came over to help me move her out of her little space
and get her all spiffy.

Next morning, I take off and all is well!

As I'm hauling down the freeway, people are suddenly waving at me, and not in the
'Hi your trailer is really cute" kinda way,
but in a "something's wrong" kind of way.

Uh oh.

A truckload of guys shouted
 "You are dragging your bumper!"

OH NO!
I'm not sure, but THIS may have been me!

Sure enough, I get pulled over and get my spare tire off...eeek!

FIXED!

My new motto

So, we made it there with no other mishaps.  But the event staff wasn't ready for us.

No worries, 'just park them over there' the
event planner said, as she sweated in the heat. They all flew in from NY to do this job.

I'll just wait here till y'all are ready for me....

Archive's teeny trailer

PRISTINE Airstream

Regina's new Airstream is a BEAUTY! I wish I had time to snap some photos of the inside when I had a chance. It's totally original, and everything works. Hubby says they found it on Craigslist and the only thing they had to do to it was re-tile the floor.
Dang, I am jealous!
(I could never haul such a large trailer..but  would love the Bambi version of this!)

Party set-up pictures to follow...

Get BuSY!

There are all KINDS of new trailer events popping up!

"Groovin in the Grove Car Show"

has added Vintage Trailers to the event, thanks to Fay and Chuck!
It's held in Santa Barbara on July 25th-27th.

~

AND there is another rally called
"The Citrus Classic"...in Santa Paula, CA.
Same date as Fay's gig, darn it.

~

The Murphy Auto Museum in Oxnard
is hosting some trailers again on June 28th, along with a car show..

~

and finally...
a BIG event scheduled for Nov..at the Ventura
Ranch KOA, where they hope to get TONS of vintage trailers!
I haven't been to this campground..but it sure looks pretty in the pictures.

Whew! That is a lot of NEW rallies & shows!

These are in addition to "Pismo South"
April 12-13th in San Diego, CA

"Trail Along to Pismo" in May
(which I had to cancel attending, due to a sales meeting, dang it)

and the one I am SO looking forward to:
"The BUELLTON Vintage Trailer Bash"
in Sept.
~

In other news....

It's about time this lazy trailer gets to WORK!

Yup, Ellie Mae got a proper job!

Guess who she's workin' for?

That's right~! Old Navy is throwing a company shindig and has cordially invited
Ellie Mae and 4 of her cousins
to hang out and provide the 'Vintage cool" that only the oldie Campers can!

I'm jazzed 'cause all I have to do is haul her down to Coachella, park her and put up the awning, and leave her for a week.
She will be in good hands,
no one will be sleeping in them,
the trailers are just there for looks!
The tough life of a Supermodel, right?

it's been forever since I posted something..
Life gets so hectic.

Phoebe & Ellie Mae were my Valentine's.

Our next trip is in May
for the  'Trailer along to Pismo' rally.

I can't wait, I have the fever big time.
The weather has been wonderful here
(sorry, rest of the country'...that's why we pay the big bucks to live here)
and it feels like Summer!

We did manage to get down to Palm Springs during Modernism Week.

There is a small
trailer show with some neat rigs.

I loved this pristine Holiday House.

Phoebe got re-acquainted with the fun folks
from the Funky Junk Farms..

(how cool are they?)

Lot's of turquoise...

this 'survivor' trailer was
funny..

now that's roughin' it!

Leo Carrillo State Beach

Ellie Mae was invited
to a birthday party for
Leo Carrillo's 60th.

Finally ~ camping by the beach!

Phoebe got to come
and hang out too, which makes me very
happy. We had a wonderful time. I really want to camp there again.

Sweeeet Bug!
